Brand Marlboro Cigarette

 Marlboro is an American cigarette brand dating back to 1924, manufactured by Philip Morris Corporation. With 40% of the market share for cigarettes in the US, its smokes are among the best-selling items worldwide.

Advertising for cigarettes in the 1920s focused mostly on how ladylike the filter cigarette was in an effort to appeal to the mass market. 

The filter was labeled "Beauty Tips to Keep the Paper off Your Lips" and had a printed red band around it to conceal lipstick stains.

The demand, however, drastically decreased because this cigarette was introduced to the market during World War I. By 1950, Marlboro's online cigarette advertising targeted both male and female smokers.
